Recording Policy

Guest Photography, Recording,
and Media Policy

Welcome to Skyline Restaurant! We want you to enjoy your experience and capture wonderful memories of your meal. Because we operate an intimate space, we have established the following guidelines to protect the privacy of our guests, preserve our dining ambiance, and safeguard our business rights.

1. Personal Photography & Guest Experience Guests are welcome to take photos and short videos of their own party and meals for personal use, provided they adhere to the following:

  • No Flash or Extra Equipment: The use of flash photography, continuous lighting (like ring lights), tripods, or gimbals is strictly prohibited, as it interferes with guest experience and disrupts service.

  • Stay Seated: Please remain at your own table while taking photos to avoid blocking walkways or disturbing neighboring diners.

2. Privacy & Audio Recording We are committed to protecting the conversational privacy of everyone in our establishment.

  • Audio Notice Required: In compliance with Oregon conversational privacy laws (ORS 165.540), capturing the audio of in-person conversations requires that notice be given prior to recording. Please disable audio recording if you are taking wide shots of the room.

  • No Unauthorized Subjects: You may not photograph or record other patrons, the owner, or any staff members without securing their explicit, verbal permission first.

3. Social Media & Content Sharing We love seeing our dishes through your eyes and sharing them with our community!

  • Sharing Rights: By publicly posting content taken inside the restaurant and tagging our official accounts, checking in at our location, or using our branded hashtags, you establish implied consent and grant us a license to repost your images on our official digital channels. We will always credit you.

  • Your Ultimate Control: We respect your digital footprint. Our right to share your content is completely dependent on your post being public. If you delete your post, archive it, or set your account to private, you must inform us in writing if you would like the post deleted.

4. Commercial Filming & Venue Rentals Any photography or videography intended for commercial, promotional, or professional use (including influencer brand sponsorships or product shoots) is strictly prohibited during normal business hours.

  • Booking the Space: Commercial productions must book dedicated time at the restaurant to avoid displacing regular diners. Please contact the owner directly to discuss project details and obtain our commercial usage rates.

  • Mandatory Legal Releases: No commercial shoot may begin without a fully executed Location Release Agreement and proof of commercial liability insurance. Furthermore, if any individuals are to be featured in your commercial media, you must obtain a signed Media/Talent Release Form from them prior to filming.

5. Owner Discretion Management reserves the right to ask any guest to put their camera away, delete unauthorized recordings, or leave the premises if their recording activities violate this policy or disrupt the experience of others.
